Wonderball is an uber cool, interactive ping pong style table that totally transforms the concept of traditional table tennis. It uses digital projectors and sensors to track the movements of the ball by means of project mapping. Project mapping is spatial augmented reality. It's a projection technology used to turn objects, often irregularly shaped, into a display surface for video projection. Wonderball can be played by up to 20 people at a time and also allows for many different types of games. Anyone who happens to be in the UK, can try it for themselves at Bounce Ping Pong in London. Prices are pretty reasonable, £11 for half an hour. Great gig for groups.
